Margaret Mae (Bluitt) Ball age 92 of Louisville, NE passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Hillcrest Health Plaza in Bellevue.
She was born on April 23, 1926 to Frank and Angela (Mangold) Bluitt in Sioux Falls, SD. Margaret was raised and schooled in Sioux City, IA and she graduated from Sioux City Central High School where she was a Band Majorette for the high school marching band. After graduating from high school, she worked for Western Union during the war. She met Frank Lionel Ball and they were later married in 1945 in Sioux City, IA. Margaret and Frank had lived in Washington D.C., Albuquerque, NM; Centerville, CA; Lowry A.F.B. in Denver, CO; Izmir, Turkey; Sacramento, CA; Biloxi, MS; El Paso, TX; Omaha, NE; Albuquerque, NM; Thailand, Minot, ND; Omaha, NE; and Louisville, NE.
Margaret is survived by her two sons: James Ball and wife Stephanie of Louisville, NE; Clifford Ball and wife Judy Las Vegas, NV; daughter: Barbara Ball of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren: Melissa Steffers and husband Rob, Allison Larrieu and husband Noel, Gordon L. Russell and wife Bunny, Zachary J. Russell; and twin great grandsons: Nixon and Nox Larrieu.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Angela Bluitt, sister: Carol Darst, and grandson: Aaron Ball.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with Father Michael Houlihan officiating, Ken Aylor and Jim Ulrich as acolytes, and Terry Little as vocalist.
Her final resting place will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
